Japanese Grilled Barbeque Steak Recipe

This Japanese grilled barbeque steak recipe is similar to Western grilled steak, but the steak is infused with Japanese seasonings. The steak is specially cut, and then soy sauce, mirin, dashi, and other traditional Japanese seasonings are added as a marinade. The steak is marinated for at least 30 minutes before grilling. After grilling, the steak tastes amazing! This steak recipe is easy to make and your friends will be asking for the recipe because it is so delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg beef sirloin tips

Marinade Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp dashi
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp grated garlic
  • 1 tbsp miso

Instructions
 

  • Make thin cuts on the back and front of the steak tips
    Meat cutting
  • Place the steak tips in a zip-lock bag
  • Add the dashi, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, grated garlic, and miso into the zip-lock bag
    Marinating Meat
  • Close the zip-lock bag and force the air out
  • Mix well by hand
  • Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes
  • Grill and enjoy!
