Best Homemade Lemonade Recipe - Japanese Style
Japanese style lemonade is similar to western style lemonade and contains the same ingredients, but is not nearly as sweet. It can be made with either cold water, or sparkling water. You can also add the lemon syrup to the hot water in the winter to make a comforting tea.

- 2 lemons
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 300 mL water (1.25 cups)
- Carbonated or cold water
Slice the lemons
Add the sliced lemons, sugar, honey and water into a pot
Cook over medium heat until boiling and occasionally stir
Once the water is boiling, cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 5 minutes
Turn off the stove and leave it for 15 minutes
Add some ice, 3 lemons slices, ~3 tbsp of the syrup, and carbonated water into a glass. The ratio of syrup to carbonated water or cold water is 1:3. 3 parts cold water for 1 part syrup.
