This Tea Jelly Dessert Recipe is easy to make and can be made with your favorite tea flavors. Imagine relaxing on your patio on a hot summer day. A cool breeze flows through your hair and you enjoy a bite of tea jelly mixed with some sweet vanilla ice-cream. This tea jelly is light, and just barely sweet. It is perfect in combination with your favorite tea flavor.
I made this with rooibos tea, but I understand some people have preferences for other types of tea. You can make this recipe with your preferred choice of tea. Every time you make this recipe, you can experiment with different types of tea! If you are a fan of desserts, check out our other Japanese desserts. Tips for Making Tea Jelly Dessert Recipe
- I used rooibos tea in this recipe, but you can make this recipe with your favorite type of tea.
- In this tea jelly dessert recipe, I did not use a lot of sugar for the jelly itself. Instead, I like to pair the jelly with a sweet side, such as ice-cream or whipped cream. If you prefer a sweeter jelly, please feel free to add more sugar to the recipe.
- In this recipe, I placed the jelly into two different types of containers. One container was large and I used a fork to make crushed jelly as shown in the picture above. The other two containers shown below were for made for set-jelly. I served the set-jelly with a topping of whipped cream. This jelly recipe goes well with a variety of sweet toppings and sides.
